I seem to recall someone asked this question a while back and I was going to get them an answer, but hadn'tfinished updating my machine yet. So, I'll go ahead and post it here as a FAQ, since it's a fairly basic issue, but slightly obscure.
The default path for Magic Suitcase is C:\Program Files\Magic Suitcase\.
However, sometimes, due to hard drive space contraints or your organizational scheme, you may with to install the Suitcase to a different directory. This *IS* possible.
If you install usingthe standard full install it will always be installed to the default directory, which is where we SUGGEST that it be installed. Sometimes software freaks out when not installed to the default directory, or updates freak out if particular software isn't where it's thought to be.
But, if you must change the path, please use the CUSTOM INSTALL method, where you will be given the option to change the install path to a path of your choice on a drive of your choice.
The Magic Suitcase software will then be installed to THAT directory rather than the default and all instructionson where to place files shold be altered accordingly based upon that path.
